Intractable angina

Intractable Angina Pectoris is characterized by pain attacks that might resemble a myocardial infarction and are caused by an unbalance of the oxygen supply and oxygen demand of the heart muscle under certain conditions. The painful attacks are common and refractory to standard medical treatment.

Angina Pectoris Treatment

Since Intractable Angina Pectoris is characterized by pain attacks that are common and refractory to standard medical treatment, therapy is aimed at reducing the number of the pain attacks and pain intensity and not curing the underlying condition.

Spinal Cord Stimulation (SCS) has proven to be an effective and secure therapy for these patients.
